Dilution rate
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003219
The rate at which fresh medium is added to a continuous culture system, such as a chemostat, relative to the total volume of the culture. This parameter directly influences the growth rate of microorganisms within the bioreactor. It is expressed in units of reciprocal time, such as per hour (h-1).
