Minimal risk level

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007392

A health-based screening value from the ATSDR giving the dose, per day, of a hazardous chemical that is judged unlikely to cause appreciable noncancer harm during a stated length of exposure. Separate values are derived for acute (up to 14 days), intermediate (15 to 364 days) and chronic (365 days or more) durations, and for the oral and inhalation routes. Cancer effects are not considered in deriving them.
