Mole ratio
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007479
A dimensionless quotient, r12 = n1/n2, where n1 and n2 are the amounts of substance of a first and a second constituent present together in one system. When the system is a solution, the constituent in the denominator is often the solvent, so the ratio differs from the mole fraction, which divides by the total amount of every constituent.
