Multiple-pass cell
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007665
A sample cell designed for spectroscopic measurements that increases the effective path length of light through a sample by reflecting the light beam multiple times. This design enhances the absorption signal for weakly absorbing samples or low-concentration analytes. It is commonly employed in gas-phase spectroscopy to achieve higher sensitivity.
