Multitarget-directed ligand
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007688
A single chemical entity designed to interact with two or more distinct biological targets that are implicated in a disease pathway. This approach aims to achieve a synergistic therapeutic effect or to address the multifactorial nature of complex diseases. Such ligands are developed to overcome the limitations of single-target drugs.
