Ligand to ligand charge transfer transition
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006572
An electronic transition in a coordination complex where an electron moves from an orbital primarily localized on one ligand to an orbital primarily localized on a different ligand. This type of charge transfer typically occurs between ligands with different redox potentials. Such transitions can contribute to the absorption spectra of polynuclear complexes.
