Ligand of inducible co-stimulatory protein

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006571

A protein expressed on antigen-presenting cells that binds to the inducible co-stimulatory protein (ICOS) found on activated T cells. This interaction provides a co-stimulatory signal that promotes T cell proliferation and cytokine production. The binding of this ligand to ICOS is involved in regulating immune responses, particularly in autoimmune diseases and allergic reactions.
