Nanophotonics
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-007758
The study of light-matter interactions at the nanoscale, where the dimensions of the structures are comparable to or smaller than the wavelength of light. This field explores phenomena such as plasmonics and metamaterials to control light at unprecedented scales. Polymers are used in nanophotonics for waveguides, optical sensors, and light-emitting devices.
