Non-uniform dispersion
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008058
A dispersion whose particles are not identical in size, shape or chemical constitution, so that it is polydisperse or heterogeneous rather than made of one kind of particle. The term concerns the particles themselves, not how evenly they are spread through the medium. A latex with a broad particle size distribution is a typical example, in contrast with a uniform, monodisperse dispersion.
