Nonstochastic health effects

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008055

Health effects that increase in severity with increasing dose above a certain threshold, and for which a threshold dose exists below which the effect does not occur. These effects are also known as deterministic effects. Examples include radiation burns or cataracts, where the severity of the injury is directly related to the dose received.
