Non-specific emission or attenuation
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008054
Any emission or reduction in the intensity of electromagnetic radiation that is not directly related to the analyte of interest. This can include background signals from the matrix, instrumental artifacts, or scattering phenomena. It contributes to the overall noise or baseline in spectroscopic measurements and must be accounted for to obtain accurate analytical results.
