Normal

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008067

A qualifier in terms such as normal boiling temperature, meaning the value measured at a pressure of 101 325 Pa, one standard atmosphere. It fixes the pressure only, so the temperature is whatever the property takes at that pressure. A separate usage, normal temperature and pressure for gases, often means 20 degrees Celsius and 1 atm and differs from STP.
