Pressure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009408
The force exerted perpendicularly per unit area on a surface. In chemistry, it is a fundamental thermodynamic property of gases and liquids, influencing reaction rates and phase equilibria. The SI unit for pressure is the pascal (Pa), equivalent to one newton per square meter (N/m²).
