STP
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011452
Standard temperature and pressure, the reference conditions for reporting gas volumes, which IUPAC sets at 273.15 K (0 degrees Celsius) and 100 kPa. The older convention of 1 atm (101.325 kPa) is still used in many textbooks. One mole of an ideal gas occupies 22.711 litres at the IUPAC values and 22.414 litres at 1 atm.
