Sackur-Tetrode constant
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010470
A dimensionless constant equal to the molar entropy of an ideal monatomic gas of atoms with relative atomic mass 1, at a temperature of 1 K and a pressure of 100 kPa, divided by the molar gas constant. It follows from the Sackur-Tetrode equation and is calculated from the Boltzmann constant, the Planck constant and the atomic mass constant. Its CODATA 2018 value is about negative 1.1517 at 100 kPa.
