Peripheral blood

Blood circulating throughout the body in the cardiovascular system, excluding that found within the bone marrow. It consists of plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. This type of blood is routinely collected for diagnostic testing and research purposes due to its accessibility and representation of systemic physiological conditions.
