Peripheral blood mononuclear cell

A type of white blood cell characterized by a single, round nucleus, found in the circulating blood. This category primarily includes lymphocytes (T cells, B cells, and natural killer cells) and monocytes. These cells are often isolated from blood samples for immunological studies and diagnostic purposes, such as flow cytometry.
