Photoelectron X-ray satellite subtraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008862
A data processing technique used in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) to remove or reduce the contribution of satellite peaks from the main photoelectron signal. This process aims to isolate the primary photoelectron peak for more accurate quantitative analysis. It often involves fitting and subtracting a modeled satellite structure from the raw spectrum.
