Photoelectron yield

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008863

The number of photoelectrons emitted from a material per incident photon of a given energy. This quantity is a measure of the efficiency of the photoelectric effect for a specific material and photon energy. It is influenced by factors such as the photon energy, the work function of the material, and the surface cleanliness.
