Photorefractive polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008920
A polymeric material that exhibits a light-induced change in its refractive index, which is spatially dependent on the intensity of the incident light pattern. This effect arises from the combination of photoconductivity, electro-optic properties, and charge trapping. These polymers are used in applications such as holographic data storage and optical limiting.
