Photochromic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008827
A polymer that reversibly changes its color or optical properties upon exposure to light of a specific wavelength. This change is due to a light-induced reversible isomerization or rearrangement of photochromic molecules incorporated into or attached to the polymer. These materials find applications in smart windows, optical data storage, and sensors.
