Photochirogenesis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008826
The generation of chirality or the induction of enantiomeric excess in a chemical reaction through the use of light. This can involve the use of circularly polarized light or chiral sensitizers or catalysts that are activated by light. It is a method for synthesizing enantiomerically enriched compounds.
