Chirotopic

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002012

Describing a site in a molecule that resides in a chiral environment, meaning it cannot be superimposed on its mirror image by any rotation. A chirotopic atom or group is not necessarily a chirality center itself, but its location within the molecule contributes to the overall chirality. All atoms in a chiral molecule are chirotopic.
