Chirality element
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002009
A geometric feature within a molecule that is responsible for its overall chirality. This element can be a point (chirality center), a line (chirality axis), or a plane (chirality plane). The presence of any of these elements means the molecule cannot be superimposed on its mirror image.
