Chirality axis
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002007
A line in a molecule about which a set of ligands is arranged helically in a non-superimposable mirror image fashion. This type of chirality is found in molecules like allenes, spiranes, and certain atropisomers. The axis itself is not necessarily a bond, but defines the spatial arrangement of groups.
