Thermochromism
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011959
The property of certain substances to change color reversibly in response to a change in temperature. This color change results from alterations in the electronic structure or molecular arrangement of the material, affecting its light absorption properties. Thermochromic materials are used in temperature indicators and smart windows.
