Thermocouple
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011960
A temperature-measuring device consisting of two dissimilar electrical conductors joined at one or more points. When the junctions are at different temperatures, a voltage is produced due to the thermoelectric effect. This voltage is proportional to the temperature difference and is typically measured in millivolts.
