Thermopile
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011983
A device composed of multiple thermocouples connected in series, designed to measure small temperature differences or to convert thermal energy into electrical energy. The series connection amplifies the voltage output compared to a single thermocouple. These devices are commonly used in radiometers and infrared detectors for sensing thermal radiation.
