Physical pathway
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008952
A sequence of physical processes, such as energy transfer or charge separation, that occur within a system following the absorption of light, without involving any permanent chemical bond breaking or formation. This pathway describes the non-reactive fate of absorbed energy. Examples include fluorescence, phosphorescence, and internal conversion.
