Pielou’s J
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008967
A measure of species evenness within an ecological community, quantifying how equally abundant different species are. It is calculated by dividing the observed Shannon-Wiener diversity index by the maximum possible diversity for the given number of species. Values range from 0 to 1, with 1 indicating perfect evenness.
