Polyhydrazide
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013413
A class of polymers whose macromolecules have hydrazide groups, which are characterized by a CONHNH structural unit, as part of the main chain. They are typically synthesized by the polycondensation of a dihydrazide with a dicarboxylic acid derivative, such as a diacyl chloride. Aromatic polyhydrazides serve as precursors for producing high-strength polyoxadiazole fibers through thermal cyclodehydration.
