Polysulfanes
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009241
Compounds with an unbranched chain of two or more sulfur atoms capped at both ends by hydrogen, with the general formula HSnH. The simplest is disulfane, HSSH, though some chemists reserve the name for chains of three or more sulfur atoms. Organic analogues, with carbon groups on the terminal sulfurs, are called polysulfides instead.
