Sulfur diimides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011572
Organic compounds containing a sulfur atom double-bonded to two nitrogen atoms, each of which is bonded to a hydrocarbyl group. These compounds feature the S(=NR)2 functional group, where R represents an organic substituent. They are often used as reagents in organic synthesis, particularly in the preparation of heterocyclic compounds.
