Sulfinamides

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011555

Organic compounds containing a sulfinyl group (-S(O)-) bonded to an amino group, with the general formula R-S(O)-NR'R''. They are derivatives of sulfinic acids where the hydroxyl group is replaced by an amino group. These compounds are often chiral at sulfur and find applications in asymmetric synthesis.
