Sulfinic anhydrides
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011558
A class of organic compounds characterized by the general formula R-S(O)-O-S(O)-R', where R and R' represent organic groups. These compounds are formally derived from two molecules of a sulfinic acid by the elimination of one molecule of water. They are generally unstable and readily undergo disproportionation or hydrolysis.
