Polyzwitterions

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009261

Polymers that contain both positively and negatively charged groups within each repeating unit along the polymer chain, resulting in an overall neutral charge. These polymers exhibit unique properties such as high hydrophilicity and resistance to non-specific protein adsorption. They are often used in biomedical applications and as antifouling coatings.
