Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001203
Neutral chemical compounds that possess both a positively charged functional group and a negatively charged functional group within the same molecule, without any external counterions. The positive charge is typically on a quaternary ammonium group, and the negative charge is on a carboxylate group. An example is trimethylglycine.
