Post-acceleration detector
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013426
A type of detector in mass spectrometry that applies an additional accelerating voltage to ions after they have passed through the mass analyzer. This acceleration increases the kinetic energy of the ions, improving their detection efficiency, especially for high-mass ions. It is often used with electron multipliers or conversion dynodes.
