Practical certainty

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009341

A high degree of confidence in a conclusion, falling short of absolute certainty, often used in risk assessment and regulatory contexts. It implies that the probability of an alternative outcome is so low as to be negligible for practical decision-making. This concept is frequently applied in determining the safety of chemicals or products.
