Product development control
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009504
A type of reaction control where the structure of the transition state resembles the product more than the starting material. This implies that factors stabilizing the product will also stabilize the transition state, thus influencing the reaction rate and selectivity. It is often contrasted with reactant control, where the transition state resembles the reactants.
