Programmed-pressure chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013437
A chromatographic technique in which the pressure at the column inlet is deliberately changed according to a schedule during the run, which changes the flow of the mobile phase and so the retention times of the analytes. Raising the pressure speeds the elution of late-eluting compounds, and a slower program can resolve closely spaced peaks. It is a less common alternative to temperature programming and flow programming in gas or liquid chromatography.
