Temperature-programmed chromatography
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011855
A chromatographic technique, particularly in gas chromatography, where the column temperature is systematically increased during a separation. This controlled temperature ramp improves the resolution of components with different volatilities by allowing both low and high boiling point compounds to elute within a reasonable timeframe. The heating rate is typically expressed in degrees Celsius per minute.
