Temperature-programmed reduction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011858

A thermal analysis technique employed to characterize the reducibility of metal oxides or other reducible materials. A sample is heated in a controlled atmosphere containing a reducing gas, and the consumption of the reductant or the evolution of reduction products is monitored. This technique provides insights into the reduction behavior and dispersion of active components.
