A chronic autoimmune skin condition characterized by rapid overproduction of skin cells, leading to thick, red, silvery-scaled patches. This inflammatory disorder results from an accelerated life cycle of keratinocytes, causing them to accumulate on the skin's surface. It can affect any part of the body, including the scalp, elbows, knees, and nails, and its severity varies widely among individuals.
