Pseudotumor cerebri
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009645
A neurological disorder characterized by increased intracranial pressure without an identifiable cause, such as a tumor or infection. This condition, also known as idiopathic intracranial hypertension, leads to symptoms resembling a brain tumor, including severe headaches, vision changes, and papilledema. Diagnosis involves ruling out other causes of elevated intracranial pressure and often requires a lumbar puncture to measure cerebrospinal fluid pressure.
