Intracranial pressure
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006007
The pressure exerted by the brain tissue, cerebrospinal fluid, and blood within the rigid confines of the skull. This pressure is a dynamic balance of these components and is measured in millimeters of mercury (mmHg). Elevated intracranial pressure can compromise cerebral blood flow and lead to neurological damage.
