Hypocapnia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005541
A state of reduced carbon dioxide levels in the blood, often resulting from hyperventilation. This decrease in partial pressure of carbon dioxide can lead to respiratory alkalosis and affect cerebral blood flow. It is measured as a partial pressure of carbon dioxide (PaCO2) below 35 mmHg.
