Hypoxemia
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005555
A condition characterized by an abnormally low concentration of oxygen in the arterial blood. This reduced oxygen level can impair cellular respiration and organ function. It is typically measured by arterial blood gas analysis, with a partial pressure of oxygen (PaO2) below 80 mmHg indicating hypoxemia.
