Quinonimines
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009787
Compounds structurally related to quinones, where one or both of the carbonyl oxygen atoms are replaced by an imine group (C=N-R). These molecules exhibit a conjugated system similar to quinones but with altered electronic properties due to the nitrogen atom. They are often involved in redox processes and can act as dyes or pigments.
