Sydnone imines
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011719
Mesoionic compounds structurally related to sydnones, where the exocyclic oxygen atom of the sydnone ring is replaced by an imino group (=NR). These compounds exhibit unique electronic structures due to their delocalized positive and negative charges within the ring. They are often used as precursors in heterocyclic synthesis.
